The Council
Local councils are the first tier of governance and are the first point of contact for anyone concerned with a community issue. They are democratically elected local authorities and exist in England, Wales and Scotland. The term 'local council' is synonymous with 'parish council', 'town council' and 'community council'.
Stow Bardolph Parish Council meets every other month on the second Tuesday at 7.30pm to discuss Council business and hear from local residents.
Meetings are currently being held remotely via video conferencing software. Any member of the public wishing to observe the meeting or speak during the Public Participation section of the meeting should use the link included in the agenda or contact the Clerk for joining instructions.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the Council meetings. We have public forum at each meeting where residents can raise issues and speak about matters of local concern. Our district and county councillors regularly attend council meetings and report on developments at parish level.
